My story..
Im studying in Kodolanyi Janos University College(KJUC) since 2007 in Budapest. Our school has a wide range of programs available.I could not decide exactly in secondary school whether I am interested in tourism , sports or andragogy(the specialization what I have choosen in this field is similar to cultural management).I applied to several universities and different courses.I have got into KJUC and I think this was one of the best things happened to me .I realized later on when we started the program this is the field what suits me perfectly. There is a lot of facilities concern exchange places in the university.I applied for exchange program and I was satisfied with the result, it turned out that I can go to Kemi , Finland for four months. It was the autumn of 2008.I passed my exams successfully and left my home country in January 2009.A brand new life has just started for me..
..I just fall in love with Finland , I did not even blame on the hard winter last time.I loved Lapland and the way of life there. It is so close to the nature and very modern in one.I also made a lot of friends which is another factor contributed to this feeling. Erasmus program is about being brave, experience the methods of studying in another country and which is most important get the feeling of internationalism. It is a wise thing from the EU , to make mobility more popular.
Once you try you can not forget and want to try more and more different cultures and be surrounded with friends all over the world. We had a bunch of young people , mainly students there in Kemi, with 12 nationalities at least(From India to Slovakia and from there to China...).We had parties all the time and trips to other cities as well.We learned how to be tolerant and respectful to other people´s culture and way of life. After this experience I went back home to Hungary.I passed my exams and enjoyed the summer of 2009.I missed my hungarian friends very much , so I spent the whole summer with them and with my parents of course.I visited my favourite festivals and I could go for summer holiday without my parents. It was fun , we spent a week in Greece. In September I started the autumn semester and continued my studies in Budapest , at Kodolanyi Janos University.I wanted to go back to Finland and at the end I could find a place for practical training. It is the Humanist University of Applied Sciences or Humanistinen Ammatikorkeakoulu in Helsinki.I was very happy for this , of course I had to make a lot of research about the places , to be honest I tried a few another countries but it is fate , Finland is the winner for me apparently.
I had a 20 hours language course in Kemi which is not much , but enough for everday finnish( at least greetings and numbers ,day and name of the days).I am very keen on continue this language , very interesting .
Next post is going to tell some information about a proper practical training in Finland.
See you everybody!
